THE local Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on coronavirus disease (Covid-19) said that health authorities recorded nine new confirmed Covid-19 cases with two new recoveries and three additional mortalities in Zamboanga City, as of Thursday, July 23, 2020.
The local IATF said this raised the total Covid-19 cases of this city to 465 with 208 recoveries and 15 mortalities. The active cases now total 242.
The task force said that four of the nine are from Camino Nuevo village and all as asymptomatic. They include ZC457, male, 59 years old; ZC458, male, 15 years old; ZC459, female, 56 years old; and ZC460, female, 49 years old.
ZC459 and ZC460 are close contacts of ZC252, male, 32 years old from Sta. Catalina village.
ZC461 is a 32-year old, female frontliner from Malagutay village, who is symptomatic.
ZC462 is a 31-year old, male, returning overseas Filipino (ROF) from Sinunuc village. He is asymptomatic.
ZC463 is a 61-year-old female from Tetuan village, who expired on July 22 with diagnosis: high-risk community-acquired pneumonia; Diabetes Mellitus Type II.
ZC463 is the 15th mortality for Zamboanga City, according to the task force.
ZC464 is a 41-year old, male from Labuan village. He is symptomatic and set to be transferred to the government-owned Zamboanga City Medical Center (ZCMC).
ZC465 is a 35-year old female frontliner from Campo Islam village.
Meanwhile, the task force said that two other mortalities recorded were: ZC451, the 87-year old male from Campo Islam, who expired July 22.
The task force said that ZC451 was diagnosed with acute coronary syndrome; respiratory failure due to pneumonia. He had comorbidity: cardiovascular disease (HASCVD); diabetes (DM Type 2).
ZC451 is the 13th mortality for this city.
ZC253 was the 52-year-old female from Pasonanca. She expired July 22 with diagnosis: acute coronary syndrome; respiratory failure due to pneumonia and comorbidity: diabetes or DM Type 2.
ZC253 is the 14th mortality for Zamboanga City, according to the task force. (SunStar Zamboanga)
