LPA floods 24 Masantol villages

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The low-pressure area (LPA), which affected much of Central Luzon on Wednesday evening, July 29, 2020, until Thursday morning, July 30, coupled with the high tide have flooded 24 barangays in Masantol town.

The Pampanga Disaster Risk Reduction Council (PDRRMC), in its July 30 report, said that a foot deep of floodwaters were recorded in Barangays Aluali, Bagang, Sapang Kawayan, Balibago, Santa Lucia Paguiaba and Santa Lucia Anac.

Portions of Barangays Nigui, Sagrada, San Agustin, Sta. Lucia Matua, Sta. Monica, San Isidro Anac, Sta. Lucia Wakas, Cambasi, Sta. Cruz, Sua, Palimpe, Sto. Nino, Sta. Lucia Anac, Bebe Matua, Bebe Anac, Bulacus and San Pedro were also flooded.

The PDRRMC Operations Center at the Provincial Engineering Office Compound in the City of San Fernando Pampanga has been activated and had prepositioned disaster response equipment and manpower on standby 24/7 along with other member agencies/offices.
