Zamboanga City Covid-19 cases increase to 546

LOCAL health authorities have logged 17 additional coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases in Zamboanga City, raising the total count to 546, as of July 28.

The City Health Office said that of the 17 new cases, six are from the community, six are locally stranded individuals (LSIs), while five are returning overseas Filipinos (ROFs).

The health officials also recorded 267 recoveries and 16 mortalities, while the number of active cases is 263.

One of the new cases, tagged as ZC530, is a 21-year-old female from Campo Islam village. She has been admitted at the Zamboanga City Medical Center (ZCMC).

Another patient, ZC531, is a 52-year-old male from Kasanyangan village who is now at the ZCMC.

Also admitted at the ZCMC is a 65-year-old male from Tetuan village.

Patient ZC533, a 24-year-old male from Talon-Talon village, has been isolated at the Euntes Isolation Facility.

Both ZC534 and ZC535 are male ROFs who are aged 25 and 40, respectively.

ZC536 is 25-year-old male from Tetuan village, while ZC537 is 66-year-old male from Arena Blanco village who is admitted at the ZCMC.

Another patient, ZC538, is a 41-year-old female from Sinunuc village. She has been isolated at the Euntes Isolation Facility.

ZC539, ZC540, and ZC541 are all male LSIs aged 22, 21, and 32, respectively.

Two other patients, ZC542 and ZC543, are female LSIs aged 66 and 70, respectively.

Other patients include ZC544, a 34-year-old female ROF; ZC545, a 26-year-old female LSI; and ZC546, a 34-year-old female ROF. (SunStar Zamboanga)
