ROTARACT means Rotary in Action. Rotaract is a service club for young people ages 18 to 30 who are dedicated to finding innovative solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges while developing leadership skills and making friends from around the world. Rotaract decides on how to organize and run their own clubs, manage their funds, and plan and carry out activities and service projects that are important to their communities. Rotary clubs that sponsor rotaract clubs offer guidance and support and work with rotaractors as partners in service. To this day, there are 180 countries with Rotaract clubs. There are 10,698 rotary clubs and 203,298 registered rotaractors worldwide. Rotaract started in 1968 internationally.

We are happy to say that the Rotary Club of Baguio Summer Capital has a group of young and active leaders, the RCBSC SLU-Samcis. This vibrant team in this year of the Transformers is composed by Pres. Vanessa Valdez, VP Ronnie Orig, Sec. Kristi Mari Ayangdan, Treasurer Andrea Cariño, Auditor Izza Billie Malabanan, International Service Beaver John Mendoza, Community Service Fiona Barrios, Club Service Stephanie Andres, Professional Development Earl Prinz Reyes, Finance Arsen Dave Apostol, PRO Jone Luwilaine Ediong, Creative Directors Wainne Go and Jirah Macanip, Digital Media Coordinator Marc Gerome Pascua, Project Manager Beatriz Castillo and Purchasing Associate Kamille Ann Diwa. The RCBSC SLU SAMCIS Rotaract was founded in 2016 and is presently under the mentorship of PP Anton Baltazar, Director Delfin Tokyas and Pres. Tolitz Villanueva.

Among the RCBSC Rotaract projects were hosting webinar seminars, “My Entrepreneurial Journey, Characteristics and Mindset of Entrepreneurs” with speaker PDG Rolando Villanueva and “Getting Started with your Own Travel Agency” with Jeneffer Baltazar. The discussions were informative, inspiring and interactive.

We look forward to more of these exciting, meaningful and service oriented activities spearheaded by the RCBSC rotaractors. May you continue to be role models of the youth.
