Fire hit 6 houses in Eastern Samar town, no casualties reported

AN EARLY morning fire destroyed six houses in San Policarpo, Eastern Samar Saturday, August 1, 2020.

However, no loss of life was reported, according to the report from San Policarpo Municipal Police Station in coordination with the Bureau of Fire Protection.

The fire started due to “faulty electrical wiring” from the residential house owned by Fe Acosta before it spread to five other houses in Barangay 4 Poblacion, San Policarpo, at around 5:00 a.m. Saturday.

The fire was declared under control at around 8:00 a.m. and was declared fire out after an hour.

Police said the estimated cost of damages is more or less P7 million. (SunStar Philippines)
