Negros Occidental Capitol unveils vet projects in Bago

THE Provincial Government of Negros Occidental launched various veterinary projects in Barangays Lag-asan and Poblacion in Bago City last week.

The projects included free-range chicken multiplier farm and carabao and goat dairy production.

These are joint projects of the Provincial Government and the local government of Bago.

Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson and Vice Governor Jeffrey Ferrer, who led the launching, also visited the cattle abattoir with cold storage facility, as well as the swine artificial insemination center and laboratory in the city.

A meat shop equipment was turned over to the Bago City Hog Raisers Association, while members of the Alliance of Hog Raisers Association in Negros Occidental received P1.5 million for swine fattening project.

Some identified beneficiaries were also given breeder piglets for livelihood.

Also present in the activity were Board Member Andrew Montelibano, chairman of the SP Committee on Agriculture, Fourth District Board Members Victor Javellana and Jose Benito Alonso, and city officials led by Mayor Nicholas Yulo. (with reports from Capitol PIO)
