Arayat town records 2nd Covid-19 case

ARAYAT town recorded Monday, August 3, its second case of coronavirus disease (Covid-19).

Mayor Emmanuel Alejandrino said the new patient, who is a resident of Barangay Buencuceso, underwent swab testing on July 31.

"We received the confirmation that the patient is positive on Sunday, July 2. The patient was already in isolation at the Jose B. Lingad Memorial General Hospital since the testing," the mayor said.

He added that contact tracing is now ongoing to ensure that the virus will not spread in the community.

He also urged Arayateños to continue practicing precautionary measures to prevent being infected by the disease.

"Always wash your hands, practice social distancing and wear your mask to protect yourselves from the virus," he said.
