Ang desisyon ni Duterte nagbasi sa rekomendasyon ni Health Secretary Francisco Duque, kinsa maoy nangulo sa panawagan sa medical sector gumikan kay padayong nagsaka ang gidaghanon sa mga kaso sa Covid-19 sa lukop nasod.
Ang Metro Manila ibalik sa MECQ gikan karong adlawa hangto na sa Agusto 18, 2020 ug apektado niini dili lang ang PBA, kon dili hasta ang tananag mga professional nga mga liga sa nasod.
Hinuon giklaro ni PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial nga bisan malangan ang pagbalik sa ilang tyaining, nagsubay gihapon sa saktong dalan ang liga paingon sa hingpit nga pagbalik niini.
“The government knows what is good for us, and we conform with their orders. We will follow the guidelines and will wait for the next word from them with regards to restrictions on whatever quarantine status we’re in,” pagtino ni Marcial nga napatik sa pba.ph.
“As for the 14-day return of Metro Manila to modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ), I look at it as a short detour that we’ll pursue in the hope of getting our teams back in the gym at the right time.” (ESL)
