Partial lockdown implemented at DSB hospital in La Carlota

A PARTIAL and temporary lockdown has been imposed at Don Salvador Benedicto Hospital in La Carlota City after a visiting doctor was tested positive of coronavirus disease (Covid-19).

La Carlota City Mayor Rex Jalandoon revealed that the chief of DSB hospital has already recommended the temporary lockdown for disinfection.

On his facebook post, Jaladoni revealed that the result of the swab test on the said doctor came out yesterday which turned out positive of Covid-19.

The doctor was reported to have conducted an operation with the assistance of four nurses on a patient who is a resident of Pontevedra town. A utility worker was also reported to have close contact with the team.

The mayor also confirmed that contact tracing has been ongoing and that the houses of those who had closed contact with the doctor and his team has been locked down since July 27.

One of the four nurses was reported as resident of San Enrique and has already been subjected to swab test.

Admission and consultations at the hospital has been temporarily suspended but its emergency room is still open.
