Guv appeals for cooperation as Covid cases soar in NegOcc

NEGROS Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson is appealing to all Negrenses for cooperation as the number of Covid-19 cases in the province has reached 535.

According to Lacson, he acknowledges the exhaustion of the frontliners, stating he knows that they are already drained physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Lacson said mankind was not prepared for the crisis and acknowledged that frontliners were the ones thrusted into the battlefield where the full strength of the enemy has confronted them.

"To all Negrenses, our frontliners are now at the point of being consumed. Let us help and rally around them by staying at home and observing [strictly] our health protocols," he added.

At present, due to the resumption of the modified enhanced community quarantine in Metro Manila, all trips coming from the nation's capital have been temporarily canceled.

The temporary cancellation of trips has given the provincial government time to prepare for additional isolation facilities, as well as clearing the existing ones.
