WHAT happens when a swath of beauty descends upon your day? It did at the Casino Español de Cebu earlier this year, when one midday, five international beauties paid the Club a visit.

Enter misses Fiorella Arbenz, Jessica Cianchino, Miss Asia Pacific 2019 Chaiyenne Huisman, Eoanna Constanza and Carolina Schuler!

Yes, it was the Miss Asia Pacific Management team who brought the beauteous five on a southern islands tour, and Cebu was lucky to be one of the stopovers!

Casino VIPs, Honorary Consul of Spain in Cebu Anton Perdices, and the Club’s cultural affairs manager Javier Sala, were very much on hand to welcome the statuesque, smiling five. Oozing with natural charm and friendliness, the girls were a joy to converse with during the sumptuous lunch interview.

We would like to bid the “Glam Five” warm Cebuano wishes like “balik-balik!”

Another news-and-events team is born!

A simple sikwate (dark, native chocolate drink) session at The Chocolate Chamber in Robinsons Galleria Cebu, upon the invitation of The Chocolate Queen Raquel Choa, eventually paved the way for the soft launching of RMANews.Net.

Robby M. Alugar, founder and chief executive officer of RMANews.Net, has this special talent for telling stories about Cebu and its interesting people. The website features corporate events and lifestyle news covering topics like food, entertainment, health, arts and culture, music, film, and people stories etc. It also informs the public through press releases, happenings around town, before and after.

The ceremonial switch for the soft launch was led by Lilu Aliño, managing director of Lilu Advertising and district governor nominee, Designate of Rotary D3860; Herminia Go, assistant governor, Area 1E, Rotary District 3860; Joanna Fajardo-Salazar, group marketing and communications-manager, Robinsons Land Corp.; and Raquel Choa, president of Ralfe Gourmet.

RMANews will certainly face challenges, but with strength, determination and confidence, it will definitely be successful in delivering accurate, balanced and up-to-date news to the public.

Fly high, RMA!
