At 6-foot-10, Cebuano behemoth June Mar Fajardo is not one to cower from any other player that he steps onto the court with in a Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) game.

However, the gentle giant recently revealed that there is one player that he is extra cautious with whenever he faces off against him. That player is none other than Rain or Shine’s resident bruiser, Beau Belga.

The six-time league Most Valuable Player award winner revealed this during an appearance on the Extra Rice show, which Belga actually hosts.

"Ikaw (You)," said the University of Cebu product when prodded about the player that daunts him the most in the PBA. "Sobrang nakaka-intimidate ka eh. Ang bigat mo (You are very intimidating. You’re very hefty),” said Fajardo.

The Pinamungahan-native though, said that he tries his very best not to get ticked off by Belga’s antics so that he can keep his focus on the game.

"Kasi pag napipikon ako, nawawala ako sa game. Kaya as much as possible, hindi ako mapikon, focus lang ako sa game (I try not to get pissed off by that because I’ll get off my game. So as much as possible, I try to keep my cool and just focus on the game)," shared the San Miguel star who is currently recovering from a serious leg injury.

The Cebuano has always been a tough man to crack, dating back to his days dominating the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi). As a matter of fact, Fajardo is so well liked that he has already received the Samboy Lim Sportsmanship Award twice.

Fajardo revealed that the reason he never gets into any of the extra-curricular shenanigans on and off the court is his respect for his parents.

“Nanonood yung parents ko. Nanonood yung mama ko, and ayaw niya nung ganun (My parents are always watching. My mother is watching and she doesn’t like things like those)," he said. (JNP)
