ICPS bags Best Police Station award for 2020

THE Philippine National Police (PNP) has adjudged the Isabela City Police Station (ICPS) as the country’s best city police station this year during its 119th Police Service Anniversary Celebration on August 6.

Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Eduardo Año and Police General Archie Francisco Gamboa, PNP chief, presented virtually the awards for Best City Police Station to ICPS for outstanding performance and achievements in the field of operations and administration over the past year.

Police Brigadier General Jesus Cambay, Jr., Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula director, commended the men and women of ICPS under Police Lieutenant Colonel Homer Dumalag for bringing honors and pride to the regional command.

“Such a feat would not have been possible without the cooperation of every uniformed and non-uniformed personnel of Isabela City Police Station including other stakeholders who contributed to stations’ accomplishments, programs and initiatives,” Cambay added.

This year, the ICPS is the only unit of PRO-Zamboanga Peninsula to bag an award at the national level.

This year’s PNP anniversary is anchored on the theme “Towards a Pandemic-Resilient, PNP-Adopting Protective Protocols in the New Normal.”

The ICPS, though located in the province of Basilan under the autonomous region, is place under the administrative supervision and operational control of PRO-Zamboanga Peninsula by virtue of the National Police Commission Resolution No. 2017-300 dated May 25, 2017. (SunStar Zamboanga)
