Negros Cooperative Bank turns 12

THE Negros Cooperative Bank (NCB) marked its 12th anniversary recently which celebration accentuated the inauguration of their new office located at the D’ North Gate Building, B.S. Aquino Drive, Bacolod City.

NCB is being strengthened by its 44-member cooperatives spread all over the province from San Carlos to Sipalay Cities comprising about 25,000 cooperators who are farmers, teachers, government employees and ordinary contractors.

Governor Eugenio Jose V. Lacson and former governor Alfredo G. Marañon, Jr. graced the occasion.

They were joined by NCB President and Chairman Nestor Bayona, Coop officers, members and guests.

Lacson complimented the members, directors and officers of all the member cooperatives and hoped that they will continue to have an excellent collaboration with the government and the people.

“I have always believed in the value of people’s inclusion and empowerment, that such will strengthen the government and further develop economic and social progress,” said Governor Lacson.

It is the Provincial Government’s thrust to boost the local economy by way of public-private sector partnerships.

Such collaboration should be pursued to reinforce the development agenda that aims to attain economic recovery for the province.

He added that achieving real and sustainable development can only be achieved when all sectors of society work together for a common goal.
