Another Porac frontliner is Covid-positive

PORAC -- Another healthcare worker from Barangay Poblacion here tested positive for the coronavirus, according to a report of the municipal government.

The patient is an intensive care unit nurse in a private hospital in Angeles City, who had been a close contact of a patient who has also tested positive for coronavirus. The patient had notified the local government and went into self-isolation.

The municipal government had difficulty securing an isolation facility for the patient due to the number of coronavirus cases in the province, which has stretched the capacity of isolation facilities and hospital facilities.

The patient began manifesting symptoms on August 3. The patient was finally given a slot for swab testing on August 5. The results came out positive on August 8. The patient had been designated into a healthcare facility.

The municipal government had placed three other close contacts under isolation and are now awaiting swab testing.

This town had recorded ten coronavirus cases since the start of the pandemic. Four cases have since recovered while another had died. Five cases are still active and are admitted in various healthcare facilities.
