BE Resort Mactan adapts QR code system for safer dining at Salt Restaurant

RELAXATION and dining never gets old. They are two of the luxuries that cast an energetic appeal to everyone most especially those who value breather moments and diversion.

While it may be quite an unfortunate first half of the year for the hospitality industry, BE Hotels and Resorts swears by its mission to provide unmatched service for guests while ensuring their safe stay at the resort.

Fulfilling the need of guests to unwind while staying safe and secure, BE Resort Mactan launched its BE Cares Health and Safety campaign in March. This campaign focuses on the resort-wide initiatives to enhance the existing cleaning protocol, health and safety measures and technology utilization.

One of the safety initiatives that supports the BE Cares campaign push is Salt Restaurant’s contactless menu. Salt Restaurant has enhanced its al fresco dining experience through an advanced QR code ordering system which gives guests access to the QR code placed on the tables. One can order from a variety of dishes by tapping on the camera feature and scanning the QR code or by using any QR code app. This technology-aided and user-friendly ordering system allows diners to explore the restaurant offerings without the hassle of browsing through a physical menu. One can now enjoy the new and improved menu of Salt Restaurant, a medley of local Filipino main dishes and international favorites while lounging with a fine beach view.

If guests prefer to order in the comfort of their rooms, a QR code is also placed in the room powered by the resort’s Captive Portal. This web page allows guests to view the resort amenities and offers such as the room service menu. Scanning the QR code will allow guests to learn more about the resort.

For a comfortable and safe stay, BE Resort Mactan outdoes the cleaning method of its three room categories—BE Cool, BE Chic and BE Classy rooms—through the use of virucidal cleaning agents that deliver fast-acting, broad-spectrum disinfection as an alternative to traditional disinfectants.

High-touch surfaces are regularly disinfected to ensure that these contact points are clean and safe. Other safety protocol observed by the resort for guests’ optimum safety are the standard sanitation procedures such as temperature check, foot bath, alcohol spray on guests’ hands and luggage sanitation at the resort lobby, social distancing floor and seat markers, BE sanitation kits inside the rooms and contactless check-in wherein all payments and filling out of health declaration forms are settled prior to check-in.

BE Resort Mactan has been honored with a Certificate of Authority to Operate (CAO) by the Department of Tourism 7 and has been inspected by the Department of Health. SPONSORED CONTENT
