ANG Department of Health (DOH) on Wednesday, August 12, 2020, niklaro nga ang local government units (LGUs) maoy gitugyanan sa contact tracing.
Si DOH Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire niluwat ning mao nga pamahayag aron pagklaro human ang netizens nisaway sa DOH sa pamahayag niini sa Agusto 10 nga wa silay contact tracing teams.
“Unang-una, alam natin ang contact tracing teams ay with LGUs ‘yan... Although ang mga contact tracing teams sa ‘baba, syempre, mga health officers din and BHWs (barangay health workers), sasamahan ng mga local government officials also like BFP, PNP at saka yung BHERTS nila,” matod ni Vergeire.
Siya niingon nga ang DOH nipadala og teams aron pag-imbestigar sa clusters sa mga kaso sa gipangsira nga mga institusyon.
Ang ahensya nipahigayon on contact tracing sa sayong bahin sa pagkuyanap sa coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) sa nasod dihang gamay pa ang mga kaso.
Apan ang contact tracing gipangulohan na karon sa local governments.
“We just provide the guidelines and the standards for contact tracing and then the local governments are the ones implementing,” dugang ni Vergeire.
Ang contact tracing gipangulohan sa local government units pinaagi sa city o municipal health officer uban sa Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (LDRRMO) ug Barangay Health Emergency Response Teams (BHERTS).
