Cuenco: Simple WFH makeup

When working from home (WFH), it’s tempting to roll out of bed and go straight to our workstation without bothering to make the usual effort in our grooming as we would normally do when going to the office. On the days that I don’t have video meetings, I prefer to go bare-faced. But most days a week, I do have to turn my camera on. When your face is barely a meter from the computer, you want to look human but not too made up. These are my essentials for a simple WFH look:

Belo Tinted Sunscreen

I prefer a multi-purpose product so that I can moisturize and even out my skin in one go. This tinted sunscreen has just enough coverage to camouflage the patchy redness on my face. Plus, my home workstation is right in front of a window, so it’s great that this has SPF50.

Laura Mercier Secret Concealer

This product was quite an investment, but for people like me who have dark undereye circles no matter how much sleep or hydration we get, it is eight hours of sleep in a pot. I used to save this for special occasions, but I’ve decided to use it before it goes bad. I love this because it’s creamy and works for my skin tone; some concealers are too light and give that reverse-panda effect. You can always apply with a finger, but I personally love the Zoeva concealer buffer brush to do the work for me.

Nichido Final Powder

In non-Covid times I would wear powder every day to set my makeup, so I have quite a few in my makeup drawer that have been going unused. I pat on Nichido Final Powder with a soft puff just on my T-zone to reduce shine and set my concealer.

Sunnies Face Lip Dip

I rotate my lip products as much as possible. They are getting very little use since there’s no point wearing lipstick when going out; it will just stain my mask. I love using Sunnies Face Lip Dip in So Good or any other lip products that are not too attention-grabbing for work.
