A 65-YEAR-OLD woman was infected with coronavirus by her husband, the Mabalacat City Health Office (CHO) said.
The patient is the city's 18th confirmed case from Barangay Mabiga. She was exposed to her husband, who is now confined in a private hospital.
Patient 18's direct contacts tested negative for the virus. She was sent to an isolation facility by the local government for treatment.
The City Government also recorded its 19th Covid-19 case and the patient is residing at Xevera Subdivision in Barangay Tabun.
Patient 19, who had a travel history in Metro Manila, was already cured from the disease, the CHO stated.
Another patient is a 53-year-old man from Barangay Santo Rosario.
The city's 20th Covid-19 patient was exposed to his officemate in another city. He is currently under quarantine and treatment.
The City Government has identified the patient's close contacts and are now scheduled for swab testing.
Mayor Cris Garbo appealed to his constituents to avoid interacting with other people to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
The mayor also advised the residents to wear face masks and shields when going outside their respective residences.
