THE community quarantine implemented due to the coronavirus pandemic has given people so much time in their hands and some of us have found ourselves in our gardens cultivating and planting various species of flowers, vegetables and fruit trees.

It is indeed healthy to engage in a passion that will help us appreciate the beauty of plants particularly of flowers that bloom.

Gardeners find joy in seeing people appreciate the gardens that they have cultivated.

Some gardens have various kinds of orchids and other ornamental plants that most people love to see and own.

Personally, it is very heart-warming to see when the flowers start to blossom. It's like paying off the hard work of cultivating and nurturing the plants.

With tender love and care, an orchid for instance can bloom and rebloom.

It's part of my routine that the moment I wake up, I go to the garden, water my plants, clean its surroundings, apply some fertilizers and enjoy the moment along with my fellow gardeners.

It is a joy to look forward every day because it helps lighten the heart and relaxes the mind and soul.

Engaging in gardening will help minimize the uncertainties caused by Covid-19. Naturally, flowers can certainly melt a heart.

Flowers are emblems of love and affection.

Whenever possible, let's continue to grow flowers and plants. It's good for everyone and also to the environment.
