ANG Office of the Presidential Assistant for the Visayas (Opav) niapud-apod og 4,000 food packs sukad unang semana sa Hulyo 2020 ngadto sa medical frontliners sa Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center (VSMMC).
Ang Opav naghatod og 320 food packs katulo sa usa ka semana sa government-run hospital sa pagtabang sa inadlaw-adlaw nga pagkaon sa medical frontliners.
“We are providing our frontliners with the much-needed support, not just in terms of personal protective equipment (PPE), but also food as an expression of our gratitude to them,” matod ni Secretary Michael Lloyd Dino, Presidential Assistant for the Visayas.
Ang Cebuano businessman nga si Eric Uy maoy nagtabang sa Opav aron makahatag og pagkaon sa VSMMC frontliners.
“We will continue to extend whatever assistance we can give to our medical workers who are selflessly helping our country fight the Covid-19 pandemic,” dugang ni Dino.
Nagpasalamat usab siya sa private sector institutions nga nagtabang sa kampanya batok sa Covid-19 sa Visayas, labi na sa Cebu, pinaagi sa Opav.
“Our partnership with the private sector has also been instrumental in boosting the government’s COVID response in the region with the help of their donations,” matod ni Secretary Dino.
Daghang private companies ug business organizations ang nindonar og personal protected equipment (PPE) ug Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) machines sa mga ospital sa Sugbo pinaagi sa Opav.
Lakip sa regular mao ang Christina Lee Dino Foundation, diin nakahagtag na og PCR machines, masks ug PPE ngadto sa nagkalaiblaing ospital sa Kabisay-an.
Ang Opav nagpatuman sa nakalainlaing inisyatiba alang sa pagtubag sa problema tungod sa pandemiya sa Covid-19.
Kini naglakip sa libreng transportasyon sa frontliners pinaagi sa pagpadagan sa Malasakit buses sukad sa pandemic, nakahagtag og PCR ug automated extraction machines, extraction ug detection kits, swab kits ug ubang pangnahanglan sa pag-abag sa testing capacity dinhi sa Kabisay-an. (PR)
