THE Police Regional Office-Cordillera arrested a high-value target who has also been considered by Regional Command as one of the top 10 drug personalities in the region.
Nicanor Mariano Dayaoen, 41, a farmer and resident of Sinacyan, Sebang, Buguias, Benguet, was arrested in a drug bust in Impogung, Baculungan Sur, Buguias, Benguet on August 5.
Confiscated from him were two plastic sachets of shabu, P1,000 buy-bust money, drug paraphernalia and a cellular phone.
Another success in this week's anti-drug operation is the arrest of another high-value target and three other individuals.
Nabbed were Cliford Wailand Batawang, 34, who was collared in his residence in Suyang, Tabuk City, Kalinga also on August 5.
Confiscated from him were 10 small sachets of shabu placed on a black pouch, assorted drug paraphernalia, one caliber .22 rifle loaded with magazine containing ammunition, one Smith & Wesson caliber .22 magnum revolver loaded with ammunition, one caliber .45 Taurus loaded with magazine ammunition, and two ammunition for caliber .45 placed on a black sling bag.
On August 6, a newly identified drug personality recognized as Rufina Guimba Ayyang, 35, was nabbed in her residence in Lacnog, Kalinga, while Merlyn Cardenas Guimba, 36, and Kenneth Wanas Cardenas, 34, farmer, were both arrested in their residence in Lacnog West, Tabuk City, Kalinga.
Confiscated from Rufina Guimba were one small bottle containing marijuana oil, a bottle of sodium ascorbate containing alleged marijuana oil residue, and 12 marijuana seedlings planted in different pots.
Seized from Marlyn adn Kenneth, on the other hand, were 15 bottles containing marijuana oil, five plastic sachets of shabu, one half gallon marijuana oil, and one transparent plastic containing marijuana seeds with a total street value of P301,250.
Two drug pushers were also separately arrested by Baguio City Police Office personnel. They were identified as John Patrick Nazareno Marzan, 43, a resident of Betag, La Trinidad, Benguet, and Karl Renz Collado, 22.
Marzan was apprehended in Suello Village, Santo Tomas Proper, Baguio City on August 5, while Collado was arrested at his residence in St. Therese, St. Dominican-Mirador, Baguio City in the afternoon of August 6.
Confiscated from Marzan were P3,500 boodle money, two sachets of shabu and cash amounting to P1,330.
