NOW back but fully virtual, “Art in the Park” is a place that gave up-and-coming local artists a venue to showcase their works. Patrons and collectors were able to browse through many of the displays and purchase these artworks directly from the website.

Bringing art together, a recent event included a live program with workshops and insightful videos featuring artists Richard Quebral, Robert Alejandro and Reena Gabriel, plus a presentation by the Marti Franca Acoustic Performance.

Quebral’s exhibit was entitled “Isometic Ay! lah, lah. land...”, which focused on colorful, comical works and his art-making process. Alejandro, a graphic artist as well as an illustrator, a painter, a crafter, and best known to be one of the pillars of the Filipino arts and crafts shop Papemelroti, conducted an art workshop for children. Gabriel created an elaborate and elegant watercolor artwork, a journey that started with a pointed pen calligraphy that blossomed into brush and watercolor calligraphy and artworks.

Having participated in this virtual art event, every buyer supported the local homegrown artists as well as raising funds for the Museum Foundation of the Philippines.
