COVID-19 continues to spread imminent threats. These were converted to opportunities or positive initiatives by some (following the Swot analysis), to cope with lockdowns, health threats, unemployment or idleness.
A few private schools are succeeding in online teaching, teachers’ training, dissertation or masteral proposals and defense, and parent coaching. That is why the Department of Education announced that private institutions may open their classes earlier than the public schools once they get the approval of the Commission on Higher Education. Accredited universities are qualified to conduct their classes. The University of San Jose-Recoletos, University of Cebu, University of San Carlos, University of Southern Philippines, University of the Visayas, St. Theresa’s College, Benedicto College, among other schools, have announced their online courses and schedules.
Try to check Facebook and discover how many groups are engaged in various learning and earning projects. No other way to go; family solidarity has become more intact.
“How long will this pandemic last?” asked my students. We are all groping in the dark. Maybe months, a year or more?
So many theories, discoveries, remedies are popping up. The global scene is digressing into separate observations. But faith has been strong and we will hurdle and survive.
