A 33-YEAR-OLD resident of Barangay Codcod, San Carlos City was stabbed to death by his own father on August 22, 2020.
The victim was identified as Jimmy Yanquin. The suspect, who is his father, was identified as Wenceslao Yanquin, 53, of the same place.
Major Mark Angelo Junco, chief of police of San Carlos City Police Station, said that the father and son had a drinking session in their house. A heated argument happened between the two and the victim reportedly mauled his father, prompting the suspect to fight back and stab his son that caused his instantaneous death.
Junco said the suspect was arrested by their responding policemen and is now detained at the police lock-up cell for filing of appropriate charges.
