The panel of judges included Churchill Aguilar, editor-in-chief of SunStar Bacolod; Chris Montaño, a graphic designer and web developer; and Hajj Bonales, a school paper adviser.

The Infographic Design Contest, with the theme: “Kahalagahan ng Wika sa Panahon ng Bagong Normal,” is an online infographic design contest that is open to all students (grade 7 to 12 and college) of any school situated within Cadiz City.

The objectives are to promote the Filipino culture through infographic design; to promote awareness on the importance of the Filipino language as a national language; to strengthen patriotism as part of the national heritage; to discover, develop and support one’s skills on the infographic design; and, to help celebrate the national observance of the “Linggo ng Wika.”

Facilitated by the Information Management Division of the City Mayor’s Office amid the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, the online activity serves as the ramp that can develop one’s communication skills, sharing data and information through infographic materials.
