Bago City has highest number of Covid cases in Negros Occidental

BAGO City still has the most number of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases in Negros Occidental, with 87 cases.

The province has 990 confirmed positive cases of coronavirus, records of the Provincial Health Office show.

The records, as of August 26, show that of the total number of cases, 471 are locally stranded individuals (LSIs), 316 are domestic, 356 are overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), 28 are frontliners and 15 authorized persons outside of residence (Apors).

There are 560 active cases of which 422 recoveries and eight deaths, the data also showed.

It also reported that there are two cases that are from other provinces but tagged to Negros Occidental and two pending classification.

Silay City has 74, Sagay City -- 62, Talisay City -- 61, La Carlota City -- 56, Cadiz City -- 52, Himamaylan City -- 50 and Kabankalan City -- 44.

The local government unit with the least number of Covid-19 cases is Don Salvador Benidecto, the record showed.
