GenSan's 22nd Tuna Festival goes digital with TNT

MOBILE services provider TNT is helping keep the fun of the 22nd Tuna Festival alive this year as it partners with the local government of GenSan in taking the celebrations online from August 29 to September 15.

One of the most anticipated events in Mindanao every year, the Tuna Festival attracts thousands of guests to the "Tuna Capital of the Philippines" for the colorful parades, cultural shows, and talent competitions. Its main highlight is the annual Karagatan Awards, which honors the unsung heroes of the fishing industry.

To keep everyone safe amid the pandemic, the local government of GenSan will instead celebrate this year's festival with exciting online activities and shows, which will be livestreamed on four official Facebook pages, including the TNT official Facebook page.

The festival will kick off on Aug. 29 with the unveiling of the official Tuna Festival 2020 billboard at the Plaza Heneral Santos. For its part, TNT has lined up the following fun activities:

* September 1 to 8: TNT TikTok Challenge

* September 1 to 5: TNT Saya Mo, Video Mo Challenge

* September 4 to 5 and Sept. 11 to 12: TNT Live Concert featuring The Return Band

* September 12 to 13: Online Zumba with Legendz instructors

TNT subscribers can enjoy and share all these online activities with TNT Free Stories For All. For only Php 99, subscribers can enjoy 14 GB (2 GB/Day) of TikTok and other social apps plus 2 GB open access for 7 days. To avail, subscribers only need to download the new Smart App and choose TNT FREE STORIES FOR ALL.
