THE Aklan Provincial Health Office (PHO) has reported a total of 30 coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases in the province.
Dr. Cornelio Cuachon said of the 30, one had died, two are admitted at the provincial hospital, two are in a quarantine facility, and the rest have recovered.
"There are no local transmission in the province yet as of today, August 28," he said.
He added that almost all of the cases involve locally stranded individuals.
The PHO has urged the public to be vigilant and asked the local government units in the province to increase the number of their isolation facilities in the barangays, considering that the number of cases may still increase. (Jun N. Aguirre/SunStar Philippines)
