Pampanga Covid-19 cases exceed 1,000

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Pampanga has now reached a total of 1,001 cases, with the regional tally reaching 5,414, according to the August 28 bulletin of the Department of Health (DOH) in the region.

The DOH said that of the total 5,414 cases, some 2,744 are in Bulacan province, which has the most number of coronavirus cases in the region. San Fernando also has the most number of mortalities at 77 recorded cases.

Pampanga places second in terms of number of cases at 1,001 and number of deaths at 32. Bataan is not far behind with 726 cases and 16 deaths. Zambales province has also a spike in cases with 352 confirmed cases and six deaths. Meanwhile, Nueva Ecija has 347 confirmed cases and 13 deaths followed by Tarlac with 160 cases and 11 deaths.

Of the 5,414 cases in the region, some 669 are currently admitted while 2,476 are currently completing the 14-day required home quarantine. The DOH claims that some 2,114 have already recovered.

Some 155 have already died of the coronavirus in the whole region since the start of the pandemic.
