WHILE the quarantine period has helped people keep safe from the threat of the novel coronavirus, it has allowed some to take their skills and talents to a whole new level.

While hobbies are great things to add to one’s lifestyle, one thing some people would rather not have is the additional weight from all the time spent at home.

Enter, workouts.

Now, that Cebu City has transitioned to the modified general community quarantine status, which means everything is almost back to the way it was, it’s time to boost your immune system and prioritize your health both physically and mentally.

F45, the fastest growing international chain of fitness studios in 45 countries, has reopened its doors to help one stay fit and healthy. The fitness studio is known for its quality and convenience and, of course, its safety measures in place for today’s “new normal.”

The “F” in the brand’s name stands for functional training, a mix of circuit and high intensity interval training style workouts geared toward everyday moments. The “45” in it refers to the total amount of minutes spent for the sweat-dripping, heart-pumping workout put together by its highly qualified athletics team in Australia.

With health protocols in place, F45 members are not allowed to share equipment and move outside their assigned area. They also must maintain a distance of at least six feet from other members. Loitering is also strictly prohibited.

Other things to take note of include the wearing of face masks at all times, the limited number of members inside the studio allowed, the taking of members’ body temperatures upon entry, and the disinfecting of the studio every hour for 30 minutes before the next batch can enter. The branch in Cebu follows the international guidelines given by its headquarters in Australia, coupled with all the protocols mandated by the local government.

Located on the ground floor of Tech Tower in Cebu Business Park, the fitness studio is open as early as six in the morning to jumpstart one’s day until eight in the evening. It is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.

F45 is also bringing its classes online via Zoom. Its on-demand drills, through its “F45 at Home Workout” program, can be accessed through its F45 App available for download on any mobile device. The program has 21 live classes per week, four classes every weekday and one class every Saturday. The fitness studio also offers a three-day trial for its online classes every Saturday, so everyone will have the chance to experience the program. The Zoom login is posted on its Instagram @f45_training_cebubusinesspark through its IG stories.
