Another 'salvage' victim found in E.B. Magalona

A BODY of a man believed to be another victim of "salvaging," was found in Hacienda Aliputos, Barangay Sto. Niño, E.B. Magalona on September 1.

The victim was identified as Niel Andy Arcangel, 39, single and a resident of Sitio Panaosawon, Barangay Tuburan, E.B. Magalona.

Police report stated that it was Barangay Captain Romulo Villanueva who reported to the police that a cadaver was found in the area.

The victim, wearing a checkered t-shirt and black shorts, was lying at the canal of the sugarcane field with a gunshot wound on his head. His hands and feet were tied with electrical wire.

Police recovered from the crime scene one fired cartridge case, one deformed slug and noticed bloodstains at the cemented road adjacent to the body of the victim. They also found a piece of carton with written words "Kawatan ko."

The victim was positively identified by his sister and his cadaver was brought to Pasaporte Funeral Homes for post mortem examination.
