Dining al fresco at Tita Annie's

WANT to satisfy your appetite by taking your meal in a garden setting with all the fresh air you can savor?

Try Tita Annie's at C5 Dormitel along Roxas Avenue, Davao City's newly-opened restaurant that offers al fresco dining.

And Tita Annie's, the latest business of Tita Annie's after its branches at Gaisano Mall and Victoria Plaza, is the next big thing to happen for the food-loving Dabawenyos as it offers breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet at a very affordable price.

"We offer you an al fresco setting. Have your breakfast in a garden setting," was owner John Baricuatro's message to the people of Davao when interviewed by Sun.Star Davao Tuesday last week.

Tita Annie's at Roxas opened last March 8 with 138 seats for its clients, and immediately created an impact because of its backdrop.

People who dine at the place are surrounded with palm trees and establishment's umbrellas are conceptualized from that of the kite.

The facility also has an air-conditioned room, provides soothing music and has an LCD projector and a sing-along system which can be used for free by customers.

Tita Annie's also sends in acoustic bands to entertain customers during the weekend, but only up to 9:30 p.m.

But what makes Tita Annie's attractive to clients is its reasonable price. Breakfast and lunch buffet are pegged at only P99 while dinner is at P299, which include the mouth-watering crabs and curacha from Zamboanga.

"It is really very affordable. At P99 you can have it all," Baricuatro said.

As for breakfast, he said, Tita Annie's offers American style, lugaw and an unlimited coffee.

Tita Annie's also offers a 30 percent discount to any client during dinner provided he or she took breakfast at the place on the same day.

"Just show us the official receipt," Baricuatro said.

The 47-year-old Baricuatro said it's his wife Jessica who manages the place and that he only comes in to survey and determine anything that she misses in her operations.

Baricuatro said he drew inspiration from her mom in putting up the business and knowing fully well that people of Davao really love to go out and dine.

"I was inspired by my mom. My mom is actually entertaining the customers," Baricuatro said, referring to her mother, who is fondly called Tita Annie's, who makes rounds of her customers and even offer them water in her own business at Gaisano Mall.

"We also offer catering services," Baricuatro said.

For those who want to avail of their services, they may contact through telephone numbers 221-1778.

Baricuatro also plans to offer Tita Annie's for franchise in the future. He said they will put up at least two Tita Annie's more and they will link up with people who want to do business with them.

Baricuatro said customers who patronize their business are treated like members of the family by giving them quality food and excellent service.

"And my satisfaction is when I see the customers smile when they come here. That is my personal satisfaction," Baricuatro said.
