"THE challenge of leadership is to be strong, but not rude; to be kind, but not weak; to be bold, but not to bully; to be thoughtful, but not lazy; to be humble, but not timid; to be proud, but not arrogant; to have humour but without folly." - Jim Rohn

It is just a few days more to the 23rd Rotary Club of Baguio Summer Capital (RCBSC) induction ceremonies. In 2005, I was invited to become part of the RCBSC family under PP Ed Borromeo through the sponsorship of bro Antero Co. Subsequently in 2006, I was officially registered as a Rotary member under PP Rafael Ding.

I believe that Rotary brings out the best in a person. The Rotary teaches one to become compassionate, caring and peace-loving. Rotary teaches us to become a good and responsible professional and citizen, a Rotarian who abides by the Four Way Test. Furthermore, the Rotary keeps us aware of the needs of the community, helps us address humanitarian concerns and respond through various service projects.

The best part of Rotary is loving what you do, involving your family, enjoying the company of the brethren, meeting new people and along the way, exchanging ideas, cultures and extending networks. I hope to live up with the expectations of my mentors and members. I will try my very best. I know that I was not born a leader, but Rotary provides us with the opportunity to grow, to learn and to lead. By God’s grace, He will surely bring us there, to lead the pack.
