1,269 Covid-19 cases, 36 deaths in Pampanga

GUAGUA -- The Department of Health (DOH) in Central Luzon reported a total of 1,269 confirmed coronavirus cases in Pampanga with at least 36 deaths from the dreaded virus, as of Friday, September 4, 2020.

The Provincial Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (Pesu) in Pampanga, as of Friday, said some 409 cases have already recovered. The Pesu’s official death toll is currently one death lower than the DOH report.

Among the cities and municipalities, Angeles City as the most number of confirmed cases with 357. This is followed by the City of San Fernando with 326 confirmed cases.

Guagua is not far behind with 162 confirmed cases. The town is also the highest among towns in the province in terms of coronavirus cases.

Most active cases in Pampanga are also from the cities and municipalities. Active cases in the City of San Fernando are at 114 cases while there are 176 active cases in Angeles City alone. Active cases in Guagua is at 132.

A surge in coronavirus infection is also happening in the towns of Mexico (71), Santa Rita (62), Lubao (62) and Porac (61).
