ANG Department of Transportation (DOTr) kay kasamtangan nga nagpahigayon sa pag-review sa detailed engineering design sa Bus Rapid Transit (BRT).
Kon makompleto na ang pag-review, ang DOTr mosugod na sa proseso sa procurement ug bidding.
Ang phase one sa BRT project nga magsugod sa Cebu South Bus Terminal padung sa Capitol kay gitan-aw nga partial na nga mo-operate sugod sa Disyembre 2021.
City Councilor Joel Garganera, chairman sa komite sa transportasyon sa konseho, niingon nga kon uyonan sa panahon, mamahimo ang gitarget sa pagsugod og operate niya sa proyekto sa 2021.
“If all the stars will conspire, target date for phase one is December of 2021,” matod ni Garganera.
Ang phase two sa proyekto nga maggikan sa Bulacao/Talisay padung ngadto sa Talamban kay gitan-aw nga makompleto sad sa Marso 2022.
Ang P16 bilyones nga proyekto kay adunay gitas-on nga 39.88 ka kilometro, apil na niini ang gitas-on sa feeder lines kon diin ang uban moabot sa dakbayan sa Talisay.
Adunay tulo ka feeder stations ang proyekto: Talamban ngadto sa IT Park, Talisay ngadto sa Mambaling, ug Talisay ngadto sa South Road Properties.
An BRT kay apil sa Integrated Intermodal Transportation System (IITS) sa Cebu.
Ang IITS kay usa sa proyekto sa DOTr nga adunay tumong sa pagbuhat og BRT, monorail system ug cable car system.
Si Talisay City Mayor Gerald Anthony “Samsam” Gullas niingon kon magsugod na ang operasyon sa BRT sa silingang dakbayan, kinahanglan nga maapil sad gyud ang dakbayan sa Talisay.

“Together with our department heads from the City Assessor, City Engineering, City Planning, City Legal, City Budget and City Admin we had initial talks about possibly putting a feeder terminal for the BRT in the City of Talisay,” sigon ni Gullas. (JJL)
