Cagayan de Oro Covid-19 cases now at 373

NINE local Authorized Persons Outside Residence (Apors), seven local cases, eight locally stranded individuals (LSIs) and four returning overseas Filipino workers (ROFs) tested positive for Sars-CoV-2 over the weekend, bringing the total number of confirmed coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases in Cagayan de Oro to 373.

Acting City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery said four of the seven new local cases are close contacts of two previously confirmed cases.

City Health Office Epidemiologist Dr. Joselito Retuya said all new coronavirus-positive cases of LSIs and ROFs were immediately brought to the city isolation unit upon arrival in the city.

The 346th case is a 34-year-old male LSI from Manila and a resident of Barangay Carmen. He arrived in Cagayan de Oro via plane on August 28.

The man was swabbed on September 2 and the result came out positive on September 5. He is asymptomatic and is set to be transferred to the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility.

The 347th case is a 65-year-old female LSI from Marikina and a resident of Barangay Tumpagon. She arrived in Cagayan de Oro via plane on August 28.

The woman was swabbed on September 2 and the result came out positive on September 5. She is asymptomatic and is set to be transferred to the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility.

The 348th case is a 23-year-old male LSI from San Mateo, Rizal and a resident of Barangay Bulua. He arrived in Cagayan de Oro City via plane on August 28.

The man was swabbed on September 2 and the result came out positive on September 5. He has no comorbidity and is set to be transferred to the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility.

The 349th case is a 54-year-old female LSI from Manila and a resident of Barangay Nazareth. She arrived in Cagayan de Oro via plane on August 28 and was swabbed on September 2. The result came out positive on September 5.

The woman is asymptomatic and has no known comorbidity. She is set to be transferred to the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility.

The 350th case is a 52-year-old female LSI from Manila and a resident of Barangay Puntod. She arrived in Cagayan de Oro via plane on August 28 and was swabbed on September 2. The result came out positive on September 5.

The woman is asymptomatic and is set to be transferred to the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility.

The 351st case is a 33-year-old female ROF from Singapore and a resident of Barangay Gusa. She arrived in NAIA on August 23 where she was swabbed.

According to Retuya, the woman stayed in a hotel while waiting for the result of her swab test, which came out negative on August 27.

She arrived in Cagayan de Oro via plane on August 28. She was swabbed on September 2 and the result came out positive on September 5.

The woman is asymptomatic and has no known comorbidity. She is set to be transferred to the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility.

The 352nd case is a 30-year-old female ROF from the Middle East and a resident of Barangay Bayabas. She arrived in Cagayan de Oro via plane on August 28 and was swabbed on September 2. The result came out positive on September 5.

The woman is asymptomatic and is set to be transferred to the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility.

The 353rd case is a 29-year-old male LSI from Quezon City and a resident of Barangay Patag. He arrived in Cagayan de Oro via plane on August 28.

The man was swabbed on September 2 and the result came out positive on September 5. He is asymptomatic and has no known comorbidity. He is set to be transferred to the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility.

The 354th case is a 24-year-old male LSI from Antipolo and a resident of Barangay Gusa. He arrived in Cagayan de Oro via plane on August 28 and was swabbed on September 2. The result came out positive on September 5.

The man is asymptomatic and has no known comorbidity. He is set to be transferred to the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility.

The 355th case is a 24-year-old female LSI from Cebu and a resident of Barangay Bulua. She arrived in Cagayan de Oro via sea travel on August 28.

The woman was swabbed on September 2 and the result came out positive on September 5. She is asymptomatic and has no known comorbidity. She is set to be transferred to the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility.

The 356th case is a 33-year-old male resident of Barangay Macabalan.

According to Retuya, the man was exposed to the 277th case, the 30-year-old male local APOR from Barangay Macabalan.

The 33-year-old man's last day of exposure on August 28. He was swabbed on September 2 and the result came out positive on September 5. He is set to be transferred to the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility.

The 357th case is a 61-year-old female resident of Barangay Macabalan. She was exposed to the 277th case, with her last day of exposure being on August 28.

The woman was swabbed on September 2 and the result came out positive on September 5. She is asymptomatic and is set to be transferred to the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility.

The 358th case is a 39-year-old male resident of Barangay Tablon. He is the workplace contact of the 277th case. He was swabbed on September 2 and the result came out positive on September 5.

The 359th case is a 38-year-old male local APOR residing in a gated community of Barangay Carmen. Retuya said the man had a fever on August 31.

He was swabbed on September 2 and the result came out positive on September 5. He is asymptomatic and is set to be transferred to the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility.

The 360th case is 29-year-old female local Apor residing in Barangay 27. Her first swab was taken on August 25 and the result came out negative on August 27.

She was swabbed again on September 4 and the result came out positive on September 5. She has no known comorbidity and is set to be transferred to the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility.

The 361st case is a 30-year-old male local Apor. He is the husband of the 360th case. His first swab was taken on August 25 and the result came out negative on August 27.

The man was swabbed again on September 4 and the result came out positive on September 5. He has allergic rhinitis and is set to be transferred to the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility. His close family contact is his wife.

The 362nd case is a 31-year-old male local Apor residing in a gated community of Barangay Lumbia. He had nasal congestion and a sore throat on September 3. He was swabbed on September 4 and the result came out positive on September 5.

The man has hypertension and is under maintenance medication. He is set to be transferred to the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility.

The City Health Office identified two close family contacts, his wife and child.

The 363rd case is a 21-year-old female local Apor residing in Barangay Agusan. She is a healthcare worker in a private hospital. She showed symptoms on August 28.

Retuya said she was exposed to patients who were positive for Covid-19 admitted in the private hospital.

The woman showed symptoms on September 3 and was swabbed on September 3. The result came out positive on September 5. She is set to be transferred to the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility.

The City Health Office identified three close contacts who were all set to be transferred to the city isolation unit.

The 364th case is an 83-year-old male resident of Barangay Cugman. Retuya said he is retired. He had a cough on August 29 and was admitted to a private hospital where he was diagnosed with pneumonia.

The man has a fever on August 30. He was swabbed on September 3 and the result came out positive on September 5. He was transferred and admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center. He has hypertension.

The City Health Office identified 10 close contacts who were all set to be transferred to the city isolation unit.

The 365th case is a 37-year-old male local Apor residing on Barangay Indahag. The man, who is a rescuer, had nasal congestion on September 3. He was swabbed and the result came out positive on September 5.

He has no comorbidity and is set to be transferred to the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility.

The 366th case is a 29-year-old female local Apor residing on Barangay Patag. She developed nasal congestion and cough on August 25. Her first swab was taken on August 25 and the result came out negative on August 28.

The woman was swabbed again on September 4 and the result came out positive on September 5. She is set to be transferred to the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility.

The City Health Office identified seven close contacts who are scheduled to be transferred to the city isolation unit.

The 367th case is a 69-year-old female resident of Barangay Bulua. She experienced body weakness on August 31 and has throat discomfort and anosmia on September 1.

On September 2, the woman had dry cough, colds and fever and on September 4, she experienced shortness of breath. She was admitted in a private hospital on the same day. She was swabbed and was transferred to the NMMC. The result came out positive.

Her comorbidities include hypertension and diabetes mellitus. The City Health Officer identified four close family contacts.

The 368th case is a 33-year-old male LSI from Lahug, Cebu City and a resident of Barangay Kauswagan. He underwent a rapid diagnostic test in Manila before he traveled to Cebu.

The man arrived in Cagayan de Oro via sea travel on August 29. He was swabbed on September 3 and the result came out positive on September 6.

He is asymptomatic and has no known comorbidity. He is set to be transferred to the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility.

The 369th case is a 38-year-old female ROF from the Middle East and a resident of Barangay Kauswagan. She arrived in Manila on August 25 where she was swabbed.

Retuya said she stayed in a hotel while waiting for the result, which came negative on August 27. She arrived in Cagayan de Oro via plane on August 28.

The woman was swabbed on September 3 and the result came out positive on September 6. She is asymptomatic and has no known comorbidity. She is set to be transferred to the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility.

The 370th case is a 30-year-old male local Apor who was exposed to the 314th case in a private hospital. The 314th case is a 36-year-old female local Apor.

The man had a fever on August 29 and got chills on September 3. He was isolated in the private hospital. He was swabbed on September 4 and the result came out positive on September 6.

The 371st case is a 62-year-old female local Apor residing in Barangay 24. She had a fever and cough on August 31. She developed shortness of breath on September 4.

The woman was brought to JR Borja General Hospital. She was swabbed on September 5 and the result came out positive on September 6. She was transferred to the NMMC.

The City Health Office identified nine close contacts.

The 372nd case is a 68-year-old male resident of Barangay Tablon. He attended a family gathering on August 30. He had a fever, cough, and dry cough on September 3.

The man was admitted in a private hospital on September 5 where he was swabbed. The result came out positive on September 6. The City Health Office identified eight close contacts.

The 373rd case is a 71-year-old male resident of Barangay Kauswagan. The man was exposed to the 310th case, the 51-year-old male from Barangay Kauswagan, who was his son.

He had a fever and cough on September 3 and was admitted to the NMMC. He was swabbed on September 3 and the result came out positive on September 5.

The man has a post stroke. The City Health Office identified four close contacts who are all in the city isolation unit.

Cagayan de Oro has 117 active cases, four of whom are admitted at the NMMC, 64 are outpatients, and 49 are ROFs/LSIs.
