(Foreword: This is the continuation of our response to Munchkin on his quest for natural remedies for hair growth.)

Dear Munchkin,

Moving on, here’s more to help you in your quest for natural ways for hair growth.

8. Add some vitamin E., which is needed to nourish damaged hair and will help prevent breakage. So, get yourself 400 IU of vitamin E a day or get them from vegetable oils, margarine, wheat germ, whole grains, nuts and leafy green vegetables.

9. Eat iron filled foods. Iron is also needed for hair growth. Get them from green leafy vegetables, chicken liver, cashews, and dried fruits. You can also get them from iron supplements. But, don’t fret if you see your stools getting black. And if you want your body to absorb more iron, you have to get vitamin C as well in your system.

10. Include silica and zinc in your supplements. These minerals are also needed for hair growth. So, take 500 mg of silica twice a day and 30 mg of zinc once a day.

11. Enhance your scalp circulation with rosemary essential oil. Just add some few drops to your shampoo or, you can add a few drops of rosemary to a coconut or olive oil and massage your scalp regularly.

Lastly, be sure to handle your hair well. Don’t grab or pull them tightly or brush them hard. So, don’t try those very tight ponytails. They are surefire ways to lose your hair. Remember, your locks will tell you how well you take care of them.
