AMID the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) pandemic, the local government of Magalang has reminded the residents of voters' registration dates, which started on September 1, 2020 until September 30, 2021.
The Municipal Government posted in its official Facebook account that the office of the local election officer is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesdays until Saturdays.
The local government unit (LGU), however, stressed that the election officer will accommodate 50 applicants per day only as part of the physical distancing measure to prevent transmission of the virus.
"Para sa lahat ng gustong magparehistro, magpa-reactivate or magpalipat sa Comelec, bukas po ang tanggapan ng election officer sa municipal compound mula Martes hanggang Sabado (unang 50 aplikante lamang kada araw)," it said.
The Municipal Government reiterated that there will be no transactions at the local Comelec office on Mondays.
The town, meanwhile, recorded a total of 32 Covid-19 cases with two deaths and 19 recovered patients as of September 7, 2020.
Eleven patients are still under treatment in various hospitals and quarantine facilities.
Mayor Romy Pecson earlier appealed to his constituents to pray for the patients and their families.
