AN OVERSEAS Filipino Worker (OFW) was arrested in a buy-bust operation in the province of Zamboanga del Norte, the police reported.
Police Captain Edwin Duco, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the arrested suspect as Abelardo Bantilan, 46.
Duco said that Bantilan was nabbed in an operation around 9:20 p.m. Monday, September 7, in Purok Sidlakan in Turno village, Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte.
Seized from Bantilan were P90,000 worth of shabu packed in eight heat-sealed plastic sachets and P500 marked money.
He said the suspect is detained at the police headquarters of Dipolog City for proper disposition. (SunStar Zamboanga)
