Magalang town records 3 new Covid-19 cases

MAGALANG -- The local government unit (LGU) here has recorded three cases of Covid-19 as of September 8, 2020.

Two of the three new patients, a 23-year-old female (Patient M33) and a 24-year-old female (Patient M34), work at Banco De Oro Magalang Branch, according to the municipal government.

The two bank employees were infected by their co-employee who resides in nearby Angeles City.

Patient M33 from Barangay San Nicolas 2 experienced symptoms and is now confined at Diosdado Macapagal Memorial Hospital.

Patient M34 of Barangay San Pedro 2 is an asymptomatic patient set to be transferred to a quarantine facility by the local government.

The third patient or Patient 35 is a 32-year-od medical frontliner from Barangay San Pablo. He is also an asymptomatic patient.

The municipal government has reported a total of Covid-19 confirmed cases, as of September 8, 2020.

Of these cases, 19 patients recovered and two died because of the virus.

At present, there are 14 active cases in the town, according to the LGU.

Mayor Romy Pecson asked residents to avoid going to public places to prevent infection.

The mayor also asked for prayers for the early recovery of patients.
