Cagayan de Oro logs 8 new Covid-19 recoveries

EIGHT persons who had tested positive for the novel coronavirus are now tagged as "recovered" after their repeat swab test results came out negative on Wednesday, September 9.

This brought the total number of Covid-19 recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 263.

According to City Health Office Epidemiologist Dr. Joselito Retuya, of the eight new recoveries, three are local Authorized Persons Outside Residence (Apors), two locally stranded individuals (LSIs), two local cases, and one returning overseas Filipino worker (ROF).

Those who have recovered are:

* A 30-year-old male local Apor residing in Barangay Macabalan;

* A 10-month-old female resident of Macanhan, Barangay Carmen;

* A 37-year-old female local Apor, a healthcare worker, residing in a gated community in Barangay Gusa;

* A 47-year-old female resident of Barangay Gusa;

* A 30-year-old female local APOR residing in Barangay Carmen;

* A 31-year-old female ROF from the Middle East and a resident of Barangay Macabalan;

* A 16-year-old male LSI from Puerto Princesa and a resident of Barangay Carmen; and

* A 28-year-old male LSI and a resident of Barangay Balulang.

Meanwhile, the following areas in Cagayan de Oro are still under localized focused containment, as of September 10:

* Talidhay Zone 2, Barangay Cugman;

* Purok 3, Bayanihan, Barangay Gusa;

* Barra, Barangay Macabalan;

* Zone 1 Cilrai, Barangay Puntod;

* Purok 4A, Barangay Gusa;

* Phase 2, Macanhan, Barangay Carmen;

* Sitio Gemelina, Gawad Kalinga -Relocation, Barangay Bugo;

* Zone 3, Barangay Bayabas;

* MB Ramonal, Barangay Nazareth;

* Phase 1 Ecoverde Subdivision, Barangay Indahag;

* Zone 1, Barangay Lumbia;

* Zone 1 and Zone 2, Barangay 26;

* Bara Shoreline, Barangay Macabalan;

* Purok 5 Barangay Tablon;

* Sitio Mabasa, Barangay Balulang;

* Portion of Zone 1 Barangay 35.

According to Acting City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery, of the 263 recoveries in Cagayan de Oro, 150 are LSIs, 66 are ROFs, and 47 are local cases (community: 29; Apor: 18).

The city has 152 active cases, five of whom are admitted at the Northern Mindanao Medical Center, 87 are outpatients, and 60 are ROFs/LSIs.

The number of Covid-19 deaths remains at 12.
