Khok: ‘PB marbles’ biz

PEANUT butter. Other than making PB dipping sauce, and PB sandwich, is there anything else we can do with this breadmate?

My cousin Dona said PB can be used as cake filling or frosting.

Krystalle, my niece, said, “Bake nutty cookies and chocolate cake with a hint of PB.”

“I want a light dessert that’s nutty and cold,” my nephew Polonggoy said.

My Uncle Gustave said, “Share your ‘PB marbles’ recipe with your friends. Maybe other people can use it to start a small business.”

Why not? I can become your virtual partner in business, dear friends.

It’s a timely idea. Sept. 13 is National Peanut Day, and what better way to celebrate it than with peanut butter.

PB MARBLES. This treat has four ingredients only, but allows for innovations. Children can help you make this snack because the process is simple. Have fun doing it.

INGREDIENTS. Prepare a small batch the first time you make this for a taste test. One recipe yields 20 pieces.

Have on hand 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter, 1/3 cup honey, 1 cup powdered milk, and 8 oz melted dark chocolate.

PROCEDURE. Mix first three ingredients. Divide into one-inch balls. Dip in melted chocolate or stick a toothpick before dipping marbles in choco. Chill before serving.

If you want, fill marbles with dried fruit, ube jam, raisins, a peanut or two. Add point of interest by rolling in rice crispies, sesame seeds, sprinkles or shredded coconut.

A dozen vaccines be here, Covid-19 be dead, pandemic be over, but let not family bonding through cooking and baking end.

Our heart is in the hearth, and the children living with us learn from what our heart likes to beat. Uh, sometimes just PB with honey and powdered milk.
