Appreciating things in a new light

THE health risk posed by the coronavirus disease has simplified the lifestyle and fondness of people to basic living.

Going to the upland is now an enormous relief to those who are exhausted in staying in one place due to the continued government regulation on one's physical movement as the most fundamental prevention to bend the spike of coronavirus infection.

In my recent travel, I have seen a family of carabaos, being our national animal, dipping in a river, which incited my tremendous enjoyment.

How beautiful it is to see them relaxing as one family in quiet waters.

They have restored my penchant for creatures especially carabaos who primarily plow our fields to give us food.

These beasts are very useful and helpful in our food security.

Chickens are also charming to look at when they still fiddle their feathers while appreciating the serenity of the morning.

Fighting cocks are also lovely to gaze at. Carlo Mabaquaio, cockfarm caretaker, said the fighting cocks serve as their alarm clock in the morning due to the usual cacophony that they naturally do at the break of dawn.

They are quite challenging to raise but serves as a man's pet that indeed bolsters manliness and love for the cockfighting sport.

The hilly surroundings help everyone to boost their immune system, mental health, and physical vitality.

Go around safely if you have the opportunity and see the beauty of nature and its wondrous gifts to mankind.
