Goho: Purposive connections

Goho: Purposive connections

WE DON'T ever choose our parents and it is hard to fully comprehend the circumstances as to why these are the specific individuals we are forever linked with upon birth. But somehow, it is clear that this complex and dynamic relationship is not just but a mere coincidence and has its underlying moral obligations that essentially have a significant purpose.

In particular, as we course through the many diverse ups and downs in our journey from infancy all the way to adulthood, we encounter the natural order of the complicated cycle of life with many struggles through our multifaceted experiences with all arrays of positive and negative emotions.

Eventually, many lessons and realizations will come as we age and there will be many profound and special stories to be told.

Throughout my growing years, my parents have directly and indirectly added to many stressors and toxicities in my life, through unspoken expectations, unrealistic impositions, or simply irrational and assumptive outbursts filled with subjectivity which ultimately lead to unintellectual pettiness.

Throughout our very short, finite and temporal lives, we will come across different individuals; parents, relatives, friends, associates, etc., some of which will simply be mere acquaintances, while some we will come to know more intimately, deeply and purposively.

There will always be challenges when we deal with different characteristics of people with different quirks and inclinations that may lead to frustration and weariness. And there are many dangers that could progress towards hatred, strains and resentment.

However, I have come to see the value and importance of objectivity and a mastery of one's emotions as means to nurture complicated relationships. An eventual character maturity and transformation founded in love and truth is undoubtedly of utmost importance for all.

It is essential for us to truly love unconditionally regardless of convenience and this certainly is not easy and it should never be but it will undoubtedly contribute to an enrichment in our lives and a better world.
