Magalang town logs 38th Covid-19 case

THE local government of Magalang recorded the town's 38th coronavirus disease (Covid-19) case on Tuesday, September 15.

This brought the number of active Covid-19 cases in the municipality to 11.

Patient M38 is a 53-year-old woman residing in Barangay Santa Cruz.

The Municipal Health Office said the symptomatic patient is set to be transferred to the Jose B. Lingad Memorial Regional Hospital in the City of San Fernando.

The patient's family members were placed under home quarantine by the local government.

Meanwhile, Municipal Councilor Koko P. Gonzales said that the Municipal Council has passed an ordinance for the temporary closure of cemeteries in the town.

This is in adherence to the directive of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases banning gatherings and social events, including the observance of the All Saints' Day on November 1.
