5 kilos of marijuana seized in Bulacan drug sting

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Several kilos of dried marijuana leaves and suspected marijuana plants were seized in a buy-bust operation launched by the Philippine National Police (PNP) and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency(PDEA)-Central Luzon on Thursday, September 17, 2020.

PDEA-Central Luzon Regional Director Christian Frivaldo said the suspects were arrested at a supermarket parking lot in Barangay Malhacan in Valenzuela City.

He identified the suspects as Christian San Diego, Nikki John Tablante, Lhordan Cabat, John Maurice Clemente, and Adler Labiano, all residents of Bulacan province.

Confiscated during the operation are some 5.5 kilos of dried marijuana leaves with an estimated street value of P660,000, five marijuana plants in a plastic pot, various drug marijuana leaves wrapped in various containers and other personal belongings.

Charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being readied for filing in court against the suspects.
