23 Covid-19 patients in Cagayan de Oro recover

TWENTY-THREE persons who had tested positive for the novel coronavirus are now tagged as "recovered" after their repeat swab test results came out negative on Thursday, September 17, City Health Office Epidemiologist Dr. Joselito Retuya said.

This brought the total number of Covid-19 recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 320.

Of the 23 new recoveries, two are healthcare workers, three are returning overseas Filipino workers (ROFs), three are local cases, and 15 are locally stranded individuals (LSIs).

Among those who have recovered are:

* A 57-year-old male resident of Barangay Lumbia;

* A 15-year-old male resident of Barangay Bugo;

* A three-year-old female resident of Barangay Indahag;

* A 21-year-old female LSI from Manila and a resident of Barangay Lapasan;

* A 19-year-old female LSI from Manila and a resident of Barangay Pagalungan;

* A 28-year-old female LSI and a resident of Barangay Tumpagon;

* A 25-year-old female LSI and a resident of Barangay Tumpagon;

* A 33-year-old male LSI from Lahug, Cebu City and a resident of Barangay Kauswagan;

* A 41-year-old male LSI from Taguig and a resident of Barangay Lumbia;

* A 24-year-old female LSI from Cebu and a resident of Barangay Balulang;

* A 36-year-old male LSI from Cebu City and a resident of Barangay Balulang;

* A 47-year-old male LSI from Cebu City and a resident of Barangay Cugman;

* A 26-year-old male LSI from Taguig and a resident of Barangay Bugo;

* A 24-year-old male LSI from Cebu City and a resident of Barangay Tablon;

* A 24-year-old male LSI from Antique and a resident of Barangay Bonbon;

* A 30-year-old female LSI from Makati and a resident of Barangay Kauswagan;

* A 22-year-old female LSI from Taguig and a resident of Barangay Kauswagan;

* A 37-year-old female LSI from Quezon and a resident of Barangay Bugo;

* A 51-year-old female healthcare worker, residing in Barangay Camaman-an.

Meanwhile, a portion of Sitio Bontong in Barangay Camaman-an and portions of Zones 1 and 4 in Barangay 17 were placed under localized focused containment.

According to Acting City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery, of the 320 recoveries in Cagayan de Oro, 180 are LSIs, 75 are ROFs, and 65 are local cases (community: 41; Apor: 24).

The city has 181 active cases, 19 of whom are admitted at the Northern Mindanao Medical Center, 123 are outpatients, and 39 are ROFs/LSIs.

The number of Covid-19 deaths remains at 17.
