CONFIRMED coronavirus cases in the province of Bataan have now reached 2,043, according to a bulletin posted by the provincial government as of September 20.
The report said some 904 are still considered active cases while 358 are still pending results.
Of the said cases, some 30 people have died of the virus in Bataan. The province said some 1,109 have already recovered from the virus.
Contact tracing reports reveal that some 27 confirmed cases are close contacts of previously infected patients.
The province has conducted some 19,414 tests since the start of the pandemic, with 17,013 negative results.
Bataan has the third most number of confirmed cases in Central Luzon next to Pampanga. The province is also third in the total number of deaths in the region as of press time.
