EASTERN Visayas recorded 103 new cases of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases on Wednesday, September 23, bringing the total number of cases in the region to 4,366.
The 103 positive cases were from the 1,016 samples tested by the Eastern Visayas Regional Covid-19 Testing Center (EVRCTC) and Divine Word Hospital Virology Laboratory (DWHVL), according to the Department of Health (DOH) in the region.
The cases are from Tacloban City (12); Baybay City (1); Babatngon, Leyte (10); Barugo, Leyte (25); Burauen, Leyte (2); Dulag, Leyte (1); Inopacan, Leyte (1); Javier, Leyte (1); La Paz, Leyte (1); Matalom, Leyte (1); Matag-ob, Leyte (1); Palo, Leyte (3); Sta. Rita, Samar (1); Calbayog City (11); Catbalogan City (17); Jiabong, Samar (11), and Sta. Margarita, Samar (4).
As of 7 p.m. Wednesday, the region’s total number of Covid-19 recoveries is at 3,690 (84.52 percent), with 635 (14.54 percent) active cases and 41 (0.94 percent) deaths. (SunStar Philippines)
